A R T I S T
I was born in Logansport, Indiana and spent several of my years in Charlottesville, Virginia as well which lead me to Richmond and VCU. After receiving my bachelor of fine arts from Virginia Commonwealth University, I continued to pursue my passions in life – health and art. I intend to instill passion in the lives of others.
Good health is the platform for success in all aspects of life and exercise is fundamental to attaining good health. Good health gives energy – energy you need to work, to play and to love. I am very passionate about helping others achieve their goals – with a commitment to health, your mind is clear, your body conditioned, and your life fulfilled.
Much like health, good art gives good energy – energy to work, play and love.
Lao Tzu said, "Great acts are made up of small deeds" and this is what I intend to do by reminding all to find more peace via my Restful Reminder Sculptures. I have learned that surrounding one's self with positive images in any form (people, pictures, paintings, sculptures) will raise your energy level to a more peaceful one.
I intend for my art to raise the energy of any space it exists. I want to give the world a little bit or a lot of happiness, to inspire, improve moods and energy. It's natural energy and or talent that I have been gifted with to share and give. Wayne Dyer points out how- you come into this world with nothing and you will leave with exactly the same, nothing, so the only thing to do with your energy is give it away by serving others. All the material you acquire on Earth you won't take with you, only the love (are you also reminded of Patrick Swayze right now?) The best way to do this is put this energy (love) toward that which you are most passionate. When you do this everything is better, you will be satisfied- enjoying your time serving others and your best energy will be guided into the path you chose. Art with a spiritual tone and a sense of humor is what I intend to create.
Some of my favorite artist whom inspire me include N8Williams, Shel Silverstein, Dr. Suess, Michelangelo, and a million others. All of these artist have either an incredible sense of humor or a positive outlook enticing one to think about the importance of life and to lighten energy which urges you laugh out loud or maybe only an inside laugh that manifests as a subtle smile. Either way their intention seems to be good, and I am set out to give more of the same.
I am and have always been drawn toward living a light hearted spiritual life. I enjoy reading material that inspires me to grow, some examples include- Wayne Dyer, Abraham Hicks, Sonia Choquette, and A Course in Miracles to name a few.
And MUSIC! I love great music. Currently my favorite song is by Maggie Rogers who is really picking up momentum. I advise searching for her song, Alaska, on YouTube. You will be amazed in the beauty of this song, I certainly am. You can't go wrong with RHCP, Mason Jennings, or Bob Marley. If I'm not listening to inspiring and beautiful music while creating I am listening to Abraham Hicks and learning how to manifest all of my desires using the Law of Attraction. Good energy from the music is pouring into the art I create and the art I create will pour positive energy into your day and you will then pour your good energy into whatever magnificent thing that do. We are like a giant Matryoshka Doll or Russian Nesting doll full of happiness that overflows to the next guy, and the next, and the next, and the next.
In all of my creations, I hope that you receive the same energy that I have given. From peace and stillness to stirring and awakening – may it instill passion in your mind, your heart and those you love.
